The International Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Applied Biotechnology” primarily focuses on identifying possible ways to integrate the AI ML in Biotechnology areas viz Drug Design, Disease diagnostics, Agriculture sectors, Food and Nutrition, etc The conference aims to bring experts in the field to deliberate on emerging trends and generate quality research contribution by providing a suitable platform for prospective and practicing researchers

The Conference emphasizes contemporary research works and applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning technologies to build sustainable solutions in the domain of Biotechnology. The contributions may include algorithms and technologies comprising data science analytics, Machine learning, Deep learning, Artificial Intelligence, and its forms to address the challenges in the Biotechnology field but are not limited to the mentioned topics.

Call for Papers
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit quality and original research papers for presentation at the conference. The submission of the abstract should follow the standard template provided by the organizers of the conference. The acceptance of the abstract submission will be based on the relevance, quality of content, and plagiarism check. All oral and poster-related submissions including technical paper submissions will be handled electronically double blind peer reviewed. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and selected papers will be considered for publication in ECS Transactions and RV Journal of Science Technology Engineering Arts and Management (RVJSTEAM) Journal.

Day 1: Keynote Speakers

Professor Govindarajan Padmanaban
Professor Govindarajan Padmanaban is an Indian biochemist and biotechnologist. He was the former director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and presently serves as an honorary professor in the department of biochemistry at IISc and Chancellor of the Central University of Tamil Nadu. He has contributed to the transcriptional regulation of Eukaryotic genes in the liver, and the heme-biosynthetic pathway in the malarial parasite. His team was successful in showing the antimalarial property of Curcumin and its efficacy in combination therapy in 2004. Professor Padmanaban was the recipient of Padma Shri (1991) and Padma Bhushan (2004) from the Government of India, SS Bhatnagar Prize for Science & Technology (1983), and Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Fellowship of INSA. He was CV Raman Research Professor at INSA (1991-96). He was elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, National Academy of Sciences (India), Allahabad and Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS).

Dr. Vijay Chandru
Dr. Vijay Chandru Reddy is an academic turned entrepreneur. He is a co-founder and chairman of Strand Life Sciences. His academic career in data science spanned over two decades as a professor first at Purdue University and then Indian Institute of Science. He is a fellow of the national academies of science and engineering in India. A Technology Pioneer of the World Economic Forum, Dr. Chandru serves on the WEF’s Global Agenda Council for the future of the health sector. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Chandru leads the new-generation healthcare company Strand Life Sciences (US subsidiary Strand Genomics Inc.). Dr. Chandru is the recipient of several awards and honors: Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (1996), MCIT Dewang Mehta Award for Innovation in IT (2001), UGC Hari Om Trust award for “Science and Society” (2003), the President’s Medal of INFORMS in 2006, distinguished Alumni award by the MIT India Program in 2007, and was recognized as the Biospectrum Biotech Entrepreneur of 2007. He was the elected President (2009-2012) of the Association of Biotech Led Enterprises (ABLE), the apex trade body that represents the Indian biotech industry.

RV College of Engineering (RVCE) established in 1963 is one of the earliest self-financing engineering colleges in the Country. About Bangalore Bioinnovation Center

Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) is a joint initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, and S&T, Government of Karnataka. It works closely with Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society (KITS), a nodal center for implementing schemes of the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, and S&T, Government of Karnataka & its startup cell. It is a state-of-the-art translational research and entrepreneurship center catering to all the needs of start-ups in life science.
